Kilims such as this Marvelous work of a weaver from the village of Harsin, Kurdistan, are amazing creations that bring to life the inner feelings and traditions of the maker. Kurds are an ancient ethnic group and a major nation that has occupied parts of the western and northern Macepotemia since 1000 Bc. The nation lives today in three countries, Iran, Iraq and Turkey.

This is an old piece (Circa 1950s) and a true tribal piece that the weaver has woven for her own family's use.
