Winter Ends

This is a one of a kind production that is handwoven from wool and natural silk. The city of Varanasi in Northern India is one of the most important centres of production for silk textiles as well as carpets. The carpet weavers of the area take advantage of this coexistence and use the excess material of the Sari weaving workshops. The talented and creative weavers use the colours as they weave their rugs to create spontaneous designs and colour combinations.

The result is such rugs that are known in the market as the "Sari Silk Rugs". This one here is a beautiful example of a design that could fit modern and classic interiors.
