Very often, the centre of a carpet is covered by tables, which may trouble perfectionists. This concern inspired the creation of this rug, designed with a stunning border and a two-tone, understated field.
The wool, sourced from Kurdistan, was chosen for its long fibres and natural oil content, ensuring strength and lustre. The weaving was carried out by skilled artisans in Azerbaijan, following a naqsha—a meticulously drafted pattern on graph paper (second picture), where each square represents a single knot. The result is the exceptional rug you see here, seamlessly complementing both modern interiors and classic décor while defining a unique space.
Thanks to the superior quality of the wool and the use of natural dyes, this rug is built to last for decades, only growing more beautiful with time.
Hand-knotted in Azerbaijan, wool on a cotton foundation.
