Tabriz is one of the famous names in the Persian carpets world. The variety of designs from the city is impressive and representative of the ancient town's long tradition of carpet weaving. The carpet here is a beautiful example of such rugs in a cheerful array of colours and a most intricate pattern. It takes over eight months for two skilled weavers to create such a carpet painstakingly by making three million knots using wool and silk yarns.
